How often should a piano be tuned?
A piano can bring a lifetime of enjoyment for you and your family. The National Piano Manufacturers Association recommends that a piano be tuned twice a year for standard maintenance. Pianos that receive heavy use such as in a concert setting or in a teaching studio can require service at more regular intervals.
What does it cost to tune a piano?. If the piano is tuned on a regular basis, the standard charge is $150 plus sales tax. If the piano goes through extreme swings in humidity or if it has been an extended period of time since it's last tuning, it may require a pitch raise before a fine tuning can be done. In most cases, the cost is an additional $50.
What other services do you offer?
In addition to expert tuning I offer complete repair services, regulation, voicing, appraisals, and humidity control systems.
